Rinn Raus Vintage East-Berlin Tube Thingy
Description
This is pretty exclusive: it's a custom-made tube pre amp supposently developed in east Berlin before 1989. Inside, there's no IC's, just bare wires, some transistors, capacitors, resistors and 2 tubes. The parts are all labelled 'VEB' which translates to 'people-owned comapany' and indicates the device is built in east-germany, which is so to say offline for some time now. 'Rinn Raus' : the input of the device is labelled 'Rinn' (berlinoise for 'in') and the output 'Raus'. it has some switches that I'm not so shure about what they actually do, and a 3-band filter section. All sound are rather high-gain, ESR's are between 0.003 and 0.009. RR 0000 - sound rather muddy RR 1001 - quite harsh RR 0001 - kinda biased RR 0001 low 14h - my favourite, some bass added with the EQ.
