Peavey Standard Mark III Series (1978)

Description

Here we have the full collection of captures from my 1978 Peavey Standard Mark III Series amp head. This was one of 4 models released that worked for guitar and bass. They are a cheaper alternative to a Sunn Beta amp and quite popular for doom, sludge and stoner metal. The amp has 2 channels both with A&B inputs along with an Automix channel to blend both A&B. There is a master reverb and The EQ on Channel 1 is straightforward traditional Pre Gain, Low, Middle, High, Post Gain. Channel 2 has a Pre Gain, Low, Paramid, Shift, High, Post Gain. The Low, Paramid and High have 3dB increments of cut or boost. The Shift goes from 150Hz to 1.5K and controls the mid levels, changing this gives very dramatic results. I have attempted to get a wide variety of sounds from clean to fuzz to distortion. Some captures have pedals up front. You will just need to use your own impulse responses and any EQ, boosts, level settings etc pertinent to your own set up and gear. Each capture is named with the amp settings and which was pedal was used as applicable. I will at some point do further captures which will be of the Automix option and also jumpered channels.
