Description

Studio Helga - Yet Another EVH 5150iii By HelgaB This is my attempt at a comprehensive pack for the EVH 5150iii 50w that should be able to fulfill just about any style of tone or guitar playing. All three channels were modeled with and without boosts, and with various distortion/fuzz pedals. The models are broken up into the following categories: Red Standard-HiGain – Red channel with the listed over drive or boost off. Extremely tight and modern, while retaining the low end punchiness. Red Brutal-HiGain – Red channel with the listed over drive or boost off. More scooped and bass heavy than the Standard. Works great for lower tunings. Red UnBoosted-Tight – Dialed to be a modern high gain tone without using a boost Blue HiGain – Aimed at being a balanced and moldable high gain tone. With listed boost or boost off Blue Chainsaw/Fuzz/Distortion: The blue channel hit with various dirt boxes. From HM-2 to washed out fuzz to amp like distortion pedals. Blue/Green Crunch – The crunch tone used to dial in the Chainsaw tones. Heavy crunch tones. Can be used on their own or stacked with distortion pedals. Blue/Green LightCrunch – The crunch tone used to dial in the Fuzz and Distortion tones. Should be pretty balanced, leaning towards bright. Green Clean – Bright clean tone Please note that the HiGain boosted models are not meant to sound wildly different from each other as they all have the same settings on the amp. They are provided so you can flip through them while playing guitar to find one that suits your particular sound and feel. If selected properly, the options should reduce the need for post EQ. A huge thank you goes out to ObiJuan as he assisted with curating some of the tones and creating the awesome demo video. All tones were dialed in through the IRs that I have created of my 2004 Engl Pro straight cabinet. The pack sells for $6 as it helps me fund further gear purchases for modeling and IR creation. Re-Amping Chain: Clarett 2pre -> Palmer DaCappo -> Amp -> Suhr Reactive Load -> Clarett 2pre Calibration: +14dBu Links: ObiJuan YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@The_ObiJuan My YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@StudioHelga Engl 2004 IR Pack: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1534255321/studio-helga-engl-2004-impulse-response
