Usually, this amount of gain is equivalent to the Hi-Z input on your audio interface with the gain knob turned all the way down. I use an UAD Apollo X4, so the minimum gain on my interface is 10dB for the Hi-Z input, and I leave the input gain on the NAM plugin at 0dB.
