Description

The OG Mesa Triple Rectifier Revision G from the 90s! If you're looking for that Nu Metal rectifier sound, you came to the right place! Captured with a Two Notes Torpedo Captor, getting all the juice from the power section. For the "boosted" configuration, i used the Electric Eye Mud Killer pedal. Matching IR is included. Plug and play! Each file was captured with a different gain setting. As the gain increases, the amp starts to mud up. For reference: Gain 2: Great for open chords. Songs like "The Red" from Chevelle sound great with this model! Gain 4: Still great for open chords, but with more gain. Works for Metallica's "Load" and "Reload" tones, as well as Sum41, Papa Roach... Gain 4 Boosted: This is a tribute to the post "Death Magnetic" era from Metallica. It's the Mesa tone, but tight Gain 6: A saturated but still versatile tone. Matches well with 2000s nu metal era, like Disturbed... Gain 8: Great base tone for heavy music. I suggest using a boost pedal simulation early in the chain... Gain 8 Boosted: Hi gain for days! Sounds like early Killswitch Engage tones. K1LL3R!! Amp settings: "Silicon diode" rectification mode; "Bold" power mode; NOS Reflektor 6L6 power tubes; JJ 12AX7 preamp tubes; All eq knobs at noon; Master volume at 4.
