AMT Electronics R1
Description
The AMT R1 pedal is an analog preamp emulation of a Mesa Triple Rectifier. Three type of captures are provided: -Cab Sim Out -Preamp Out -Preamp Out -> Peavey 6505 1992 Original Effect Return -> Suhr Reactive Load The Cab Sim Out captures have that characteristic direct, low passed sound, but could be useful in similar applications as Sansamps or Rockmans are used. IRs are recommended for either the Preamp Out captures or the Preamp+Power Amp captures. The Preamp captures can feed a power amp sim before an IR, with the NAM Output to control how hard to hit the next stage. I tried to get the Cab Sim capture volume to roughly match a Preamp capture with IR loaded in NAM. Having Output Normalization on should take care of any volume discrepancies. I used TONEZONE3000 to train these Standard captures at 1000 Epochs. Input/output calibration of my interface was set at 11.5dBu; the metadata was filled in for use of the automatic calibration option. Settings are as follows: Gain Volume Bass Middle Treble 6505 Power Amp Settings: Resonance Presence Settings are approximated from 0-10 (eg. 0-min, 5-12:00, 10-max)
