WGS G8C

Description

I made IRs of a WGS G8C speaker to pair with my Tweed Champ head build. 5F1 captures here: https://tonehunt.org/OutmodedElectronics/ddf39665-9bcf-47f3-9364-633f2ad6f957 IRs are 24-bit 48kHz 500ms format. I gutted the cabinet of my childhood amp, a Squier Champ 15 from a Squier Strat Pack. I didn’t have many third party 8” speaker IR libraries, so I made my own. The speaker is light on low end, but this can be advantageous in a mix. I used most of my mic collection to try to capture the 8” speaker experience: -Shure SM57 w/ Crimson Orange Mod -Sennheiser E906 -Beyerdynamic M201TG -Beyerdynamic M160 -Beesneez BU87I C -Soyuz SU-013 FET -Sterling ST170 Ribbon -MXL R80 Ribbon -Monoprice LR100 Ribbon -AKG D1000E -Digital Reference DRI100 I used a Steinberg UR824 audio interface, Behringer A800 Power amp, and Chameleon Labs 7603 mic preamp in my signal chain.
