Description
I’ve been chasing that Neil Young amp-on-the-verge-of-exploding sound on and off for years. I thought I would dig up this pedal and profile it. This is the original version. The people who bought the redesigned version were spared the idiotic placement of the jacks on the one I have. The settings are the same on all three profiles except for the “volts” knob, which starves the voltage and makes the tone sag like crazy. Probably too much for some people. But I did discover that the profiles respond really well to lowering the input level quite a bit in NAM. Like -14 or even all the way to -20. Try it with a 5E3 Deluxe profile or amp sim. Settings: Drive — 11:00 Fuzz — 1:00 Tone — 12:00 Volts — 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00 (maxed) Level — 2:00
