1976 Fender Deluxe Reverb
Description
IRs made from the cabinet and speaker of my 1976 Fender Deluxe Reverb loaded with a JBL E120-8 speaker. This is a somewhat unusual speaker for this amp, and, from what I can tell, the amp came from the factory with it. Seven different close mics were used to capture the speaker; R121, SM57, MD421, i5, SM7B, SM94, and C414, mic'd in the following positions: -Cap=center of the cap -Cap Edge=edge of the cap where it meets the cone -Cone=midpoint of the cone halfway between cap and cone edge -Cone Edge=edge of the cone right next to the baffle Three distant mics were also used; C414, and M160, both mic'd at the center of the cabinet at distances of 12" and 24". These is also an SM57 rear mic at 12". Mics were powered by Universal Audio 2-610 mic pres, passed through HCL Varis Tube Vari-Mu compressor for color, and into RME Fireface converters. Captured using 10 second sine wave sweep @24bit/48kHz March 2024 Nathaniel@DahmanMusic.com www.DahmanMusic.com
