Description

As far as I know, this Sovtek 4x12 used to come as matching cab for the MIG 100 head. It's loaded with Eminence speakers model 12-BR-8-30 (8 Ohm, 30W) and I captured the best sounding pair, one from the top and one from the bottom, since it's a slanted cabinet. For the captures I used an SM57 and searched for different close spots that sounded well. I used distorted sound to find the spots because it's more critical, but it's great on clean tones also. The second half labeled "Virtual 2x12" is an experiment: I transposed the formant of the original IRs and added some eq to simulate a smaller cab, as if it was from a Fender combo amp. I hope you enjoy! You can support my work by donating here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?business=QY7JT5DWJB7NA&no_recurring=1&currency_code=BRL
