DIY SLO 100
Description
A capture of my home-made Soldano SLO 100 clone head. The amp is a part-for-part replica of the real SLO, except that I've installed a Dual Rectifier 100W output transformer fresh from Mesa Boogie. This capture sounds amazing on solos with my Maxon VOP9 profile in front (https://tonehunt.org/BSaw/56c10fb9-6ee0-4a12-ba3c-7dd6eba90a9f). Here are the amp settings as captured: Gain: 6 Bass: 7 Mid: 5 Treble: 5 Volume: 3 Depth: 6 Presence: 8 Reamp level: 15.5 dBu Return level: 10.3 dBu ESR: 0.012 Capture was obtained using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 (Gen 3). Reamped using a custom box with a Jensen high-performance transformer. Amplifier was played into an isolation cabinet (Celestion V30), and the amplifier speaker output was tapped and attenuated into a custom Jensen line-level transformer box back to the Scarlett input.
