Description

Model: Fender 1960 Tweed Champ When I started playing guitar, I didn't have access to much gear and certainly couldn't work out what sound I wanted. The Behringer V-Amp was incredible value to a young guitarist like I was with chore money and not much else to play with. Returning to this unit some 20 years later, I was filled with so much nostalgia and began to play guitar the way I used to. It was such an enjoyable experience, I figured it would be worth keeping one of these in the studio for quick inspiration and fussless fun. They were and still are used by quite a few bands and studios. It's not much of a surprise though, they're great albeit simple units that do one job well. There appears to be 17 gain captures per amp with post sim EQ, Cab and FX. All of the amps sounded best in a noon position so that's how the captures stayed, of course with the cab and FX turned off. As a bonus, all of the captures in this pack were done using the AES output of the unit. This means that there was only D/A conversion on the way out but the signal coming back in was from the DSP directly resulting in super clean and accurate captures. I was also careful to not clip the unit input. Was it worth it? Who knows. All I know is that I'll forever have access to my beloved V-Amp tones in a format that has far more flexibility.
